Management have taken the decision to close the station and site at Stepney Down for major work to be carried out. This will include major changes to the track layout, and significant building work to the station and buildings on the site.
Such changes will enhance our visitor's experience, whilst improving the site for our volunteers, collection and neighbours. There is no set date for the completion of this work due to the amount taking place. Our locomotives, rolling stock et al will be moved to secure locations elsewhere on the line for the duration of this work. Once complete, Stepney Down will resume being the main hub of the Reddon Meadows Heritage Railway.
